Graphic Tee Gift Guide: Sizing Without Asking

Buying someone a graphic tee is two problems: picking a line they will actually wear, and getting the size right without asking. The second one is solvable with a tape measure.

Measure a shirt they already own

Find a t-shirt of theirs that fits well. Lay it flat, measure across the chest 2.5 cm below the armhole, and double it. Match that number to our size guide and you will be within one size almost every time — far more reliable than guessing from their height.

When in doubt, size up

A tee that is slightly roomy reads as intentional; a tee that is tight gets worn once. If they are between two sizes, take the larger one.

Pick the line, not the joke

Choose something that sounds like something they would say, not something you find funny about them.
